Engagement Stories—Andee + Peter

We began working remotely with Maine residents Andee and Peter back in August of 2021 while our storefront was under renovation for our redesign. To kickstart our design, Andee had a preliminary conversation with us to share some of her design preferences. Peter spends time out in Wyoming and the couple loved the idea of having a stone from the west. Andee loves teal Montana sapphires, especially step cut hexagons and really hoped to incorporate that into her design. The most important part of her design was including the heirloom diamond from her grandmother’s engagement ring as an accent to the focal stone.

Andee and Peter were a part of the stone selection process together and ultimately decided on a beautiful portrait cut hexagonal sapphire from Montana cut by none other than artisan stone cutter, Anna Gilbert.

After their stone selection, we went back and forth presenting design compositions to Peter and were excited for his top choice! He selected a design with Andee’s grandmother’s diamond accenting the Montana sapphire on one side and a cluster of round diamonds on the other side. Andee was not a part of any of the design process after the center stone selection, we love how they were able to have some collaboration on the design while keeping some of it a surprise.

Peter proposed to Andee…a bit after he received the ring ;) They were kind enough to share these photos with us. We are so happy for you both, thank you for letting us be a part of your story and for trusting us to design your dream ring with your heirloom diamond and the loveliest Montana sapphire!
